Every piece we build is made to order. Whether you’re ordering bedroom furniture or planning a custom built-in, we’ll work with the dimensions, style and finish that make sense for your home. Because every project is custom, we ask clients to carefully verify measurements and project details before production begins.
Nygaard Furniture Company creates custom built-ins and bedroom furniture designed specifically for each client’s home. Built-in projects include media centers, home offices, libraries, fireplace built-ins, Murphy beds, mudrooms, pantries, storage walls and other custom cabinetry.
Our bedroom furniture is also built to order and includes beds, dressers, nightstands, chests and complete bedroom sets.
If you have something specific in mind that you don’t see listed, send us a photo, sketch or inspiration image. We’re happy to take a look and let you know if it’s a good fit for our shop.
What do you build?
We regularly work with clients throughout Central Kentucky and surrounding areas, including Lexington, Louisville, Cincinnati and nearby communities.
Because every project is different, the distance we can travel may depend on the size and scope of the job. If you’re outside our normal service area, reach out with your location and project details and we’ll let you know what may be possible.
What areas do you serve?
Getting started is simple. Send us a photo of your space, approximate dimensions, and any inspiration photos, sketches or mockups you may have. We’ll talk through what you’re looking for, help refine the design if needed, and provide a custom quote.
Once the project details and pricing are approved, a deposit secures your place on our schedule. From there, we build your project to order and coordinate delivery or professional installation.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before contacting us. A general idea and a few photos are usually enough to get the conversation started.
How does the process work?
How much does custom work cost?
Pricing depends on the size, design, materials, finish and complexity of the project.
Built-ins can range from smaller storage projects to full-wall installations, so every quote is created specifically for the client and the space.
The easiest way to get accurate pricing is to send us a photo of the area, approximate dimensions and an example of the style you’re interested in. In many cases, we can give you a good idea of pricing before scheduling an in-home visit.
Bedroom furniture is delivered and assembled by our team within our normal service area.
Custom built-ins are professionally installed on site so the finished project fits the space properly and has a clean, built-in appearance.
Delivery and installation details are included as part of the quoting process so you know what to expect before moving forward.
